Concealed Carry Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone who owns or is considering owning and/or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath).
After the classroom portion, we head to the range where you will learn the fundamentals of marksmanship and safe weapon handling skills. While you are welcome to bring your own handgun and ammunition, we provide everything you need for this portion of the class. Other companies do not include this but charge a fee to rent their firearms and require you to buy your own ammunition. This is a distinct advantage that we have over our competitors and a value added service that we provide to our students.
The student will learn (through repetition) the essential skills needed to perform efficient and effective weapon system manipulation. Designed to help the beginner, intermediate and advanced shooter deploy proper shooting fundamentals while learning their personal balance between speed and accuracy. Subjects that we cover are: proper gear placement, the seven fundamentals, establishing a proper zero, BSA template, administrative loads, critical incident reloads, tactical reloads, solving for malfunctions, getting off the line of attack, challenge commands, various shooting positions, use of cover and more.
These advanced courses are designed to help the intermediate and advanced shooter perfect their defensive shooting accuracy, balance between speed and accuracy using various types of cover with decreasing reactionary time while increasing speed and technique fluidity. This advanced applications course is focused on extreme weapon systems manipulation (including malfunctions), target discrimination, and threat identification in dynamic movement and physical challenges in a constant evolving and increasing complex environment.

This certification should not be considered the point in your life where you have reached your pinnacle. Rather this is the starting point of your career as a trainer of warriors. This is just the beginning and growth is YOUR responsibility. Being a trainer brings with it a massive responsibility to constantly push yourself to the next level so you can give your best to your students. This is not a hobby but a calling to the elite shooters in the CCW community to realize their unique position and advanced skill, to use it for others and help them win in the worst moment of their life.
The goal of the Tactical Firearms Engagement Instructor Certification is to provide the current firearms instructor with the skills and support necessary to offer a non-live fire class for their customers. This certification offers all the needed multimedia including student manual to the instructor for a quality student experience. This certification will enable the instructor to add a dynamic and cutting-edge training system expanding the courses they offer eliminating the need of a live-fire range.
For your students, the goal of the Tactical Firearms Course is to enhance their speed of recognition and response time to threat indicators by teaching micro-movements of the assailant. The course focuses on a biology-based response subsequent to time, distance, and cover in a fire fight. After attending this course, student’s accuracy improved from 23% to over 90%. During course studies using law enforcement, 58 out of 58 officers were wounded when given spontaneous deadly force scenarios. After the same officers attended this training only 1 out of 58 officers were wounded. This program is fundamental to understanding basic human factors principles, understanding human factors limitations, and recognizing threat indicators. It will introduce a biologically based targeting system designed to end the lethal encounter. The course will address the micro-nuances of targeting vectors and the challenges of precision using simple, economical SIRT pistols.
Studies taken from the law enforcement community have shown that assailants can draw a weapon in .3 to .5 seconds depending on the location of the weapon. From 2001 to 2010 57.7% of officers failed to draw or did not have time to draw their weapon during a spontaneous fatal assault. Officers need two or three times longer to react due to reactionary process. Research with the visual system indicates officers are about .5 seconds behind reality so it is determined that you cannot out draw an assailant. The study further shows that an officer needs additional time to evade, assess and engage the threat and that approximately 70 percent of officers killed in the line of duty are 10 feet or less from the assailant.
Instructor Bravo has a career of experience running and gunning for a living. So, Instructor Bravo brings serious field experience to both the classroom and the range.
"A Warrior is not only identifiable on the battlefield, but also through the consistency and intensity demonstrated in training" - IB
While field experience is critical, Instructor Bravo believes that a instructor should continue their development expanding both knowledge and skills. Here are just a few of the firearms instructor certifications that he has obtained:
There is a lot involved in being an "exceptional instructor", a term used by the great trainer Bruce Siddle. It is a life long path that is hard to travel, demands sacrifice, challenging to navigate, and requires a level of dedication that others consider unreasonable and sometimes impossible. This dedication is required not only with shooting skills or classroom presentations but also applies to the instructors personal physical capabilities and combative readiness. He believes instructors should be able to dynamically demonstrate techniques, maintain above average physical capability, be motivating to students while possessing a knowledge and understanding of subject matter that is mesmerizing. Simply put, students can't learn what the instructor does not know nor has the physical ability to demonstrate. Therefore, I agree with Bruce, "the instructor's competence may be the difference between the life and death of the student or the general public".
Unlike other professions, a firearms instructor "is the only recognized profession that trains students to protect lives by taking another life at the same time. Subsequently, instructors have a moral and legal obligation to constantly research methods to enhance training and, ultimately, to assure the survival of their students". -Siddle, 1995
This is a impromptu discussion with Jim Anthony from IRGO on our new course just released that comes from Human Factors Research Group. This video introduces the training methodology, tactical solution, and the science/research that is behind the development of this powerfully effective course.
An interesting talk with Instructor Bravo as Jim from IRGO asks questions and collaborates on important subjects for those that want to survive a deadly force encounters. This video should be listened to by ALL who are planning on confronting evil to protect themselves, family, friends, or the innocent.
Want to win? You got to stop being so casual. When you are casual in life you will become a casualty. You must fight for what you want and who you want to become. Each and every day you must wake up and do the same thing to the same high level of intensity that you did the day before. Winning takes your all every day and demands nothing but your best.
Be great! Decide to WIN!
